The 50th Anniversary of the passage of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 is coming up in early July. Dramatic and violent events day after day in St. Augustine, Florida, in May and June were the final catalyst that brought the legislation to the U.S. Senate floor for a vote. Local black children and youth played a key role in that struggle.

About Warren Clark

Historical Cartoons I teamed up with action comics illustrator Bob Lewis. The cartoons appeared as "Lewis and Clark's Explorations of La Florida" in the 1990s.
