Artist's Description

Along Highway 6 between Many and Natchitoches, Louisiana is a section of forested land. One day after the timber had been harvested, a not before visible farm shed with a little pond just below it appeared amongst the limbs and felled trees left behind. Behind the shed, dogwood trees were in full bloom. That view only lasted a few months. I've tried to preserve it with this collage.

About Charlene White

Charlene White

I am fascinated with wire and the magical way it lends itself to being transformed into whatever is in the mind and hands of the person bending and twisting and plying the metal. I have hanging on my wall my first piece of wire art. I keep it there as a reminder of the growth an artist experiences by simply going through the processes that define one’s work....
