Just what I wanted for a new iPhone. A special “Thank You” to artist ‘Serge Averbukh’ for the addition, at my request, to the design of my Navy rating, the lightening bolts (sparks as they are/were called) in the middle of the CPO insignia. I asked; he came through….When I use my phone, it brings back fond memories of my 20-year Navy career…. Thanks Serge….

Conifer needle. Coloured scanning electron micrograph (SEM) of a section through a needle (leaf) from a conifer tree, showing the vascular bundle (large round cluster, centre). The vascular bundle consists of xylem (small yellow openings) and phloem (brown, surrounding the xylem) tissues. Xylem transports water and mineral nutrients from the roots throughout the plant and phloem transports carbohydrates and hormones around the plant. Magnification x160 when printed 10 centimetres wide.
