Hey Mel, I've been to this bridge and photographed it a few times, but this is one of the most uniquely beautiful shots of it that I've seen! Gorgeous! I've never went to that side of the bridge before. Great idea! In my favorites! Thank you for your comment upon my Missouri Autumn photo, Mel. I am very appreciative. ;0) Julie

Artist's Description

(Copyright Mel Steinhauer all rights reserved) Parke County in Indiana is known as the "Covered Bridge Capitol of the World" with 32 of the historic structures still standing. The Bridgeton Covered Bridge was originally built in 1868, with a span of 245 feet over the Big Raccoon Creek. It was in full use for 99 years until it was bypassed in 1967. I created this image from my original photograph taken on location by adding digital enhancements, textures or other effects. These effects and image details will become more visible by clicking inside the green magnifier square as the cursor is placed over the image. About Mel Steinhauer

Now equipped with a new awareness of life and improved photographic vision, I am able to find beautiful scenes almost everywhere I go. In 2006 I finally realized my dream from so long ago and began selling my art locally. Later in 2009, I established my online...
