The aluminum sheet is offset from the wall by a 3/4" thick wooden frame which is attached to the back. The wooden frame includes a hanging wire for easy mounting on your wall (see photo on the left).

Artist's Description
Elephant Mountain, or Black Mountain, is in West Marin, near Pt. Reyes Station, California. This is one of the most scenic rides out towards Pt. Reyes National Seashore. I wanted to capture the feeling of being dwarfed by the mountains out here. The landscape here is breathtaking and makes you feel small and extraordinarily special when you can be on your bike, whizzing through it. This painting is an original oil, 30 x 30 inches on 3" gallery deep canvas, with the edges painted. It is part of my series of 2009 "Cycling through Landscapes".
