I fell in love with photography just after giving birth to my son in 1979. Like most new parents, I wanted to document everything with photos. My first “real” camera was a Canon FTB. Some may remember, it was a totally manual film SLR, so there was no automatic setting to rely upon. I educated myself with books, magazines and public television instruction. During the 1980’s I purchased a Canon AE-1 and expanded my knowledge of photography. However, since it did have an automatic feature, I relied on it. Working fulltime and being a Mom kept me busy, so I put my photography hobby aside for a while, but was always picking it back up from time to time. As the years went by I became even busier.
