My husband and I had a lovely trip to Paris and southern France last July. While on a bus trip we were able to take a photo of this cafe that we share a name with. Our photo was a little blurry and not good for enlargement. Your wonderful photo now hangs in our own kitchen as a nice reminder of that trip. It is beautiful and of very good quality. We love it. Thank you Mary Flore

Beautiful picture. Grew up on northshore so wanted something from there. Metal picture really shows the colors and picture quality is very clear.

This is one of three pieces that I am adding to my collection. Once I have received the other two pieces I will be happy to provide a photograph of the display. The quality of the art piece is exceptional. I wouldn't hesitate to purchase even more pieces!

Artist's Description
Dionysos was the god of the grape harvest, wine making and wine, of ritual madness and ecstasy in Greek mythology. This is my tribute to the brilliant sculptors who carved in intaglio, in miniature, in metal, the dies from which the Greek city state coins were struck for many centuries. Created in plasticine, taken through a plaster waste mold to produce a master (in the days before cold-pouring rubber), then a flexible mold - finally cast in epoxy. 3.5" (9 cm) diam.
Original silver coin (0.8" diam) was struck in Sybrita, Crete c 360 BC. This is the reverse side of the coin pictured at http://fineartamerica.com/featured/hermes-2-patricia-howitt.html
