I think the frame and mat work very well with this, it is really impressive in person. Grouped with a small Grant Wood with high quality lighting it sets the mood for a Georgia farmhouse.

Dr Roussell of Geneva giving woman direct blood transfusion from a volunteer, 7 February 1882. After the birth of premature twins in December 1881, the patient became increasingly weak and the transfusion was tried as last resort. By 13 February she was up, and well on way to recovery. Engraving, Paris, 1882.
