I have always enjoyed Dragonflies and their colors, as well as the many symbolisms I have heard about over the years. At one point I decided to create my own designs of what my dragonflies would look like; if I could color them myself how would they look. In Dragonfly Visitor it was created in response to a challenge. I chose to leave the background blurred and focus on the details of the dragonfly. The background is done in pastels and the dragonfly in ink. . . . . . .While studying the Dragonflies I came across a reference to a list of symbolisms for them (http://www.dragonfly-site.com/meaning-symbolize.html.) I have been drawing, painting, and crafting since I was a child. Living in Oregon where God provided color everywhere you look, along with rainy days to encourage a lot of indoor activites, I spent hours painting and drawing. Now that I have entered the empty-nester stage of life, I am blessed with additional time to focus on art. Over the years I have found that I enjoy creating artwork with a single subject and infused with a lot of color. My style has been described as unique, colorful, and whimsical.
