Beautiful sense of tranquility and timelessness Jane! Your works are so visually and spiritually moving! Wonderful work! FL

Jane Small replied:

Nikki, hello! And thanks so much for visiting and leaving such beautiful words.

Very beautiful!

Jane Small replied:

Thank you Jeff!

This marvellous painting is undoubtably dominated by the big tree in the foreground ... its branches are reaching to heaven, ..not only highlighted by the magpie sitting in the crown of the tree ..and its roots are deeply ingrown in the earth, ..emphasized by the wonderful mixture of burnt siena and english red ..all this may signify the tree of life, ...what is more, ..the same earth colour leads to a path zigzagging into the depth of the painting, passing through heartening fields of bluebells,..changing its colour into the sunlit yellow and orange of the promising and magical background....Only a wonderful painting Jane, ..or does it mean that we can only walk into paradise after passing the earthbound tree of life ...?? Almo v/f

Jane Small replied:

Aha! Almo! If this painting didn't mean that before,it certainly does now having read your description! What a wonderful idea! You have given new life and meaning to my picture as always! Catch up again hopefully at the end of the summer! Wishing you lots of happy sunny days. J.

Thank you very much Mona. So happy you like this Spring scene!

This is indeed magical my sweet friend; those lovely bluebells leading the viewer along the golden trail through the beautiful rolling hills - and the bluebird with "the best seat in town" - I wonder what magic lies beyond those amazing golden hills ...the tree is beautiful and the entire painting is awe inspiring as is all of your work Jane.....I am not having a good day, and needed a little pick me up so came by to see some of your lovely work....thanks for the uplifting and good feelings that your work generates.....thinking of you! I love this dream of bluebells, never saw them myself but can see by the photos and paintings how delicately amazing those spring bluebell fields! Wonderful zen like scene, Jane! thanks to share with us your beautiful fantasy lands...

Jane Small replied:

Jenny, there is a bit of fantasy going on here as you say.Bluebells tend to grow in shade or woodland. They could be bluebonnets if you recognize those instead. This is a dream world where anything can grow anywhere! I always love so much to read your comments and feelings. Thank you!

What an absolutely delightful and charming painting! V/F

Artist's Description

My happy orange sunset painting of bluebells and magpie is hand painted in the exquisite and unusual medium of melted beeswax. There are many more paintings for sale as prints or cards in my Fine Art America Jane Small gallery. The bluebells were like a misty haze of shimmering blue... on and on as far as the eye could see. The golden light seemed to illuminate the landscape from within. What a beautiful dream....or was it ?
