This building operated as the Duckholes Hotel from 1862 until 1896. For some reason the weatherboards were removed and the structure re-clad with this unusual collection of corrugated iron pieces sometime between 1968 and 1976. It stands on the corner of Duckholes Road at North Monegeetta, Victoria, Australia.

I guess the boards were needed for something else! What an interesting patchwork texture this building turned out to be! ... the textured natural tree against the manmade structure complements so well; An interesting bit of local (architectural) history for the residents of Monegeetta, Linda ... :))
Linda Lees replied:
Thanks for your thoughtful comment Connie. I wonder if the interior has been salvaged for something else, maybe it's as it was left over 100 years ago?
