Description

Our greeting cards are 5" x 7" in size and are produced on digital offset printers using 100 lb. paper stock. Each card is coated with a UV protectant on the outside surface which produces a semi-gloss finish. The inside of each card has a matte white finish and can be customized with your own message up to 500 characters in length. Each card comes with a white envelope for mailing or gift giving.

Artist's Description

She was inspired by a photograph from a dance book of Natalia Markarova, who was a Famous Russian Ballerina who danced all over the world. She performed with American Ballet Theater with Mikhail Barishnikov�s and was a shining example of the female ballerinas that were (defecting) from Russia at that time, for �Artistic Freedom�.

My father Jack Black's interests in sculpture and drawing encouraged all his kids to draw and sculpt from an early age. I began drawing lessons at age 6 or 7 under the tutorship of Bulgarian painter Dimitar Krustev in Iowa as a summer activity. As a young adult I took a trip with a group of Dimitar's students to Venice, Italy where I studied perspective, drawing buildings for 6 weeks. The practice of drawing was lost for years as I focused on my dancing in Iowa with Des Moines Ballet and later in Arizona with Ballet Arts Ensemble now Ballet Tucson. During the mid 80's I worked with my father in his successful ceramic sculpture business. My interests in sculpture rekindled, I created a series of dance sculptures from wax which were...
