Sometimes the best photograph is not the one you take of the speaker or the performer. Here, the strongest photo was when I turned the camera towards the audience to capture their reactions to some rather inflammatory rhetoric by a controversial speaker.

I love the differences in this photo, not only in terms of the obvious differences of background, but also the differences in their responses, which range from mocking applause, to laughter, to concentration, to indifference.

This photo was taken on Tri-X, thus it has the wonderful film grain indicative of silver based emulsion!
