Artist's Description

In Gallo-Roman religion, Epona was a protector of horses, donkeys, and mules. She was particularly a goddess of fertility. The goddess and her horses were leaders of the soul in the after-life. This was a commission piece for an very interesting woman who provided me with the horse skull and jawbones.

Born on the prairies of Saskatchewan, Canada, I have lived and worked in central Florida most of my life. I am mostly self taught, experimenting with different techniques to achieve different results. My favorite mediums are Prismacolor pencil, graphite and pen and ink. My work is realistic in style with varied subject matter. Much of my inspiration comes from simple everyday objects and things in nature. My work has been accepted in gallery shows both locally and nationally. I have been a member of the Colored Pencil Society of America since 1992.
