One of the multitude of faces used in the incredible architecture of the Khmer Empire in Cambodia at Angkor Wat. Trees overgrowing the walls of ta prohm in Cambodia. Ta Prohm is part of the larger complex in Cambodia known as Ankor Wat. It takes several days to even see all that is in this complex let alone photograph it. Although a popular tourist area it is possible with some patience to find secluded areas to contemplait and to photograph. There is still a lot of silence in this location even though tourists come here from all over the world to see this magnificent architecture. What interests me are the incredible trees growing over the man-made structures. This gives me a wonderful perspective of just how old the architecture really is as well as how frail our human cultures can be. Cambodia is a wonderful country and well worth a visit by those of us interested in historical and cultural things.
