Are the ferns painted or printed onto the glass or fired between layers of glass? I went to see your exhibition at BRAG but can't remember this one there. I have recently a small plate and a pendant (worked well) with embedded ferns, kiln fired so they oxidised but not all completely. Interesting. Must explore more (alongside ten thousand other art intentions. Anne Dunham got me hooked on glass art.

Sarah King replied:

The ferns are screen printed from live ferns on the copy exposure plate. then the powdered past colors are fired in the kiln with ferns undernieth the sheet giving me the desired Imprint of the real fern as a carbon ash print in the glass at the back of the panel. I hope this makes sense...ring me if you want to..I am in the phone book. Love to see your work! Cheers.

Sarah King replied:

Evelyn, come and see my studio if you are in the area. Are you still working with glass?

A delicate print fused onto two glass panels. The Japanese writing is indicative to the forest clearing in Tasmania.
