This is an outstanding piece of work. The aura of Powell River with its resident fishing boats is portrayed beautifully. The vessel “Shirley” is very thought provoking to me personally.

Bill Mather is an internationally known award-winning Painter, Matte Artist, Illustrator, Set Designer and Art Instructor. He began his career at Matte World in 1987, creating traditional matte paintings for the HBO film "By Dawns Early Light". This won the fledgling artist an Emmy Award for Best Special Visual Effects on his first professional endeavor. In addition, he received several more Emmy nominations and an Academy Award Nomination in 1993 for his work on Batman Returns.
