Love the painting and the rich colorful blues, reds, greens, & yellows! A nice addition to our cowboy/southwest decor vibe.

Beautifully expressed rendition of the Shrine of the Bab. The frame and matting showcase the print. We have it prominently on our living room wall with other sacred pictures.

I think the frame and mat work very well with this, it is really impressive in person. Grouped with a small Grant Wood with high quality lighting it sets the mood for a Georgia farmhouse.
Artist's Description
Were you drawn to this picture because of the intense blue that predominates? Do you find it calming, lovely, or thrilling? A veneer is a thin layer of something very expensive and beautiful which is overlaid on a cheaper object to make it look valuable and precious. Like physical objects, much in the world we see and aspire to have starts to peel and crack after we become acquainted with it. A beauty treatment may end up compromising our health. A person we admire and wish to emulate may turn out to be a scoundrel. A traumatized person cannot help but see the beauty that others believe in for what it truly is--something skin deep, undependable, and masking an uglier reality. When this happens, our illusion of a lovely and safe world is cracked irreparably. It will never be for us what it was before. That beautiful blue is not beautiful when seen close up in the context of this picture.
