Our greeting cards are 5" x 7" in size and are produced on digital offset printers using 100 lb. paper stock. Each card is coated with a UV protectant on the outside surface which produces a semi-gloss finish. The inside of each card has a matte white finish and can be customized with your own message up to 500 characters in length. Each card comes with a white envelope for mailing or gift giving.

Artist's Description

This is the first Illustration from the yet to be; self-published book, �The Leopard & the Clay�. The earth shudders into being.. as volcanoes like giant exhausts from tectonic engines expand the lands territory into the benign sea. In their wake a Garden of Eden arises warmed by an effervescent sun. Creation too awakes, yet the lines have not yet been distinctly drawn, as to what�s �alive� & what�s �inanimate�. All creation �lives� & communicates with one-another. A rich pallet of primary colours exemplifies the innocence of the moment. A chaotic & frenzied line type adds a childlike quality. The landscape as depicted in the scene is actually taken from a photo of a rock pool near the artist�s family sea-side cottage, off the East Coast of Southern Africa. The highest �volcano� is perhaps a foot high in real life, of moulded granite pounded smooth by giant waves of Indian Ocean sea-spray.

Richard is better known for his vocation as a professional architect, specializing in sustainable lightweight timber/glass construction on one hand - through to invention & furniture design on the other. He is also an active musician/singer/songwriter playing the violin, guitar, bass guitar, hand drum & harmonica. A distinctive “pen & ink” medium developed for use in architectural presentations defines a rather unique artistic style.
