Last year, my husband looked at me and said "let's buy a used fishing boat off of craig's list."

I replied, "ok, after all, we live in San Diego, California next to the Pacific Ocean."

Truth be told, neither of us knew a thing about boats or fishing.

So we bought the first boat we looked at, and after multiple breakdowns and mishaps and a lot of watching of youtube videos, we have more fish for dinner than we know what to do with - so I started painting them.

Danielle Nelisse is a professional artist and textile designer working in Maui, Hawaii. Featured on Picadilly Square Billboard in London in 2020. ArtMaui 2020 and ArtMaui 2019 juried her artwork into their highly competitive annual exhibit at the Schaefer International Gallery on Maui.
