Artist's Description

The U.S. Constitution as a background for this square format collage was inspired by a Doughboy statue at the Montana Veteran's Home in Columbia Falls, Montana. Originally called the Montana State Soldier's Home, the facility for Veteran's has served soldiers since the 1890's. The plaque for the statue reads: Dedicated to the memory of our comrades who entered the service of their country from Flathead County and who gave their lives in the World War. Presented by Flathead Post No. 7 American Legion, November 11, 1928. Sculptor unknown.

About Fran Riley

Fran Riley

I enjoy a good book or movie where I can't guess how the story will end. It's unpredictable. That is the same characteristic I see developing in my Art. While I present realistic images through Photography I am most happy when I'm creating something abstract where I don't know how it will end. I love to experiment with creating Art whether it's in the digital world, like my Fractal Art, or physically creating something with my hands like my "Rust" project (see my blog Rust Project) It's usually not predictable nor do I know how it will end - and that's why I enjoy it so much.
