This is a fantastic shower curtain. I owned at one time a 1928 American LaFrance almost identical to this one.Loved that fire engine and this great representation is such a joy as a reminder of the one I owned. Nee dmore like this one

Love this shower curtain! It’s brightened our guest bathroom beyond words. We were in Monet’s garden in 2005 and it brings a smile to my face every time I go in there.

This was our first purchase from the site and we love it! It arrived quickly. We wanted something different for the guest bath and this art combined two of my husband's favorite things. The curtain has a quality feel to it and the design is bright I wasn't sure of the color combination at first (orangey red, navy, turquoise and a touch of black) but it works! We've received many compliments and chuckles. My only regret was not being able to fit the words on without using a border - I was unsure of the colors, etc. Bottom line is that we love what we received!!! LOVE it!
This was originally a practice canvas where I experimented with different techniques and colors for another finished painting I will put up soon. After about 3 months I completely covered the canvas with different layers for another experiment, but some of the window still showed through.
My wife decided she liked the first painting and asked me to repaint the window. Since I don't like eating my own cooking, I agreed. Some experimental stuff can still be seen which looks like a true studio piece with warts. It's had a hard life and needs a home.
I have been using oil paint to create various scenes and portraits for over 30 years. I still marvel at how colors and shapes form visually appealing paintings. I have traveled from regular brushes to more textured surfaces using a palette knife, and currently am using looser, more sweeping brush strokes. A variety of the above can be seen in the images displayed. One would think by now I would have settled on a method that was consistent, but I enjoy trying new things and even experimenting a bit. Some of those 'experiments' never make it to these pages. Being self-taught alludes to the 'experimenting' portion of my artistic journey with paintings across the nation in homes and business. I also do commission pieces if you have a...

Stephen, thanks for kind comments on my landscape. The one weapon of choice we artists possess with which to capture and slay the viewer, is colour. While subject, brushwork, mood and composition are also of utmost importance, when my clients are being honest with me they say that it was the colour that first drew them to the work. This wonderful window you have so masterfully painted has just the right combination of warm and cool neutrals, and subtle touches of pure pigment, to successfully tell the story of this older building. Vignetting it like this, leaves the viewer wanting more. Please check out my streetscenes, I love painting the older part of town because of the character and charm found in longstanding heritage places.

I first want to thank you on one of the threads you and I commented on. Her piece would look better if she decides to do it. But this gave me an oppurtunity to view your work, and here is another master on this site. Wow, what great freedom and passion you give to the canvas. Bravo. A great gift God has given you. rh
