This is a beautiful painting! The artist knows my husband and we were so excited to bring one of her pieces of art into our home! It's beyond what we expected! It is part of the background when I do virtual meetings (which I am in all day long) and I get so many compliments on how beautiful my "virtual backdrop is". When I tell people that it's my actual office, they always comment on the art!

Love this painting and so many compliments as it's in a treatment room where my husband is a Chiropractor. His patients love it!

The Lion And Lamb painting is absolutely beautiful and very anointed. It speaks such peace to me. We have been furnishing a missionary apartment and as soon as I saw this picture I knew it was the one! I know it will minister to each missionary that stays in our apartment just like it ministers to me.

She is very like my sweet Emma and I bought it in memory of her. Emma's room is now my office but the painting makes clear that it is still, first and foremost, kitty space. This piece comforts my heart every day. Emma has been gone for a year and I miss her incredibly.

About Michel Verhoef
Photography is a way of expression for me. This was especially when I discovered digital photography and the possibility of being in control of the whole process, from pressing the shutter to printing. Than i also discovered that photography is more than just pressing the shutter; it also shows ones own, more personal, view on the world. There are so many stories that can be told in one image, and to me the best stories are just out there on the street, just waiting to be captured. In my photography I want to strive for a personal style, preferably more than a signature….but a permanent memory of the image in the viewers mind :) My gear: Nikon COPYRIGHT NOTICE © All images in this gallery are the original...

"In the fullness of time." The cat indeed makes the shot - though with the light and b&w, I would have liked it anyway - the feline makes this shot the cat's meow!

So ... even the cat is looking out towards the window .... whatever is happening, the mood is tender with the people, perhaps even a little sad for memories past or for what might have/could have been. And something is going on. Somewhere. Cats wait. They can sit & stare out a window forever .. & wait. I feel , sense , something is going on, there is handholding, togetherness .. & ...like the cat. ... they wait. :)) {ok ... so .. tell me now, Michel ... what is going on .. hmm ? Lens Maestro? } :))
Michel Verhoef replied:
What is going on here...will be an eternal question. There are two groups in this one...a group that says it must be gay friends and a group that says it are two brothers :)). It was taken very early at the Istanbul railway station. When you see the title you can imagine what my thoughts were when I took this image, inside a completely empty station hall on a very early weekend morning. Every day I went there early due to the great morning sunshine.....thanks for your interesting thoughts on this image Connie !!

Such a beautiful composition! Love how the light filters in and bounces around the room. A tender image of two souls joined together in a moment of reflections....sharing a cup of tea as they gaze out the window in wonder and the cat gazes at them. Truly a wonderful, soulful and intriguing capture, Michel!
