This is really scary! Excellent work, Daniel.

This is why I take an alternate route to and from my "hometown" when it's dark. lol! The light on it's face does it for me, great details!

Awesome digital art! That's a creepy looking creature, he reminds me of Predator! I wouldn't want to be in that forest. :) f/V

I think I'll stay away from the woods for a while. Excellent work.

Artist's Description

A deep dark forest can be a scary place. It's no coincidence that folklore and fairy tales hold that the woods harbor all like of monsters, faeries, and other supernatural creatures. In this scene, a scaly beast with gangling arms; long, pointy teeth; and souless, black eyes emerges from the permanent twilight of the deep forest.

About Daniel Eskridge

Daniel Eskridge

I am a forty-something living in the Metro-Atlanta area -- one of the few people who was actually born and raised here. I'm married and have two sons. By day, I am a senior software engineer. But, by night I am a 3D render artist. I have dual degrees from the University of Georgia, one in Computer Science, the other in Fine Art. So, it seems only natural that I attempt to combine the two by producing art using a computer. Plus, I find that it's a bit more practical than painting as it doesn't require all of the clean up, harsh chemicals, or expensive supplies. In fact, I have been a render artist since some of the first ray-tracing programs were made publicly available in the mid 80's. To follow me on facebook CLICK HERE. Check...
