The views on a clear night are fantastic and have to be taken in at sunset
to get the magnificence of this high summit.
The Bald and the surrounding countryside of the Appalachian Mountains
are part of the Chattahootchee National Forest, located in the north-western
area of Georgia. One can see the Appalachian Mountains of North Carolina from this vantage point and even as far as the towers in Atlanta when the sky is not hazy...
