The Frontenac was named in honor of Mr. Louis de Buade, Comte de Frontenac at Palluau who was born in 1620 and was the governor of New France from 1672 to 1682 and 1689 until he died in 1698. He had been given authority by the French government to preside over all French possessions in North America.
I always wanted to be an artist, even from an early age. My journey began with a class which taught a wet on wet oil painting technique. I had a fantastic instructor, Morris Hinson, who was very encouraging. He constantly pushed me to achieve better results. It was with his guidance and instruction that I was able to obtain a foundation by which I have been growing as an artist. I have a passion for detail. After having learned the wet on wet oil style, I decided to try my hand at acrylics with the hope of achieving a higher degree of detail in my paintings.
