This was a commissioned painting by the proud owner of the first and only buffalo ranch in Ontario. Frost on the grass, autumn colors still on the trees, you can see the steamy breath of the bison.

About Hanne Lore Koehler

Born in Aachen, Germany, I grew up in Ontario, Canada, where I still live with my husband (the love of my life) and family, from which comes the inspiration for much of my work. My vibrant watercolors, acrylic and oil paintings cannot be labelled in only one category. My paintings reflect my life: enriched with excitement as well as quiet times. My fascination with capturing a flash of movement in a motionless art form is evident in my sports paintings and energetic portraits.
