Just what I wanted for a new iPhone. A special “Thank You” to artist ‘Serge Averbukh’ for the addition, at my request, to the design of my Navy rating, the lightening bolts (sparks as they are/were called) in the middle of the CPO insignia. Equipment for gel electrophoresis. A sample of a yellow dye being added to a kit to demonstrate the principles of electrophoresis. The dyes are put into small wells in an agarose gel and a current is applied across the cell. The different components of each dye move at different rates through the gel, based on their size and electric charge. This is essentially the same process as the one used in analysing fragments of DNA.
