This looks gorgeous printed on wood. It is now hanging on my therapy office wall and is perfect. The color is true to the photo. I love it.

Very pleased with the image, color, printing . My selection of printing onto wood is great for this image. There are a few mildly dark lines which are natural to wood. They show through the image and contribute to the image--glad that none of these was over the face of the horse rider.

Artist's Description
I originally intended to do something different on this canvas and did a blue background to start. When I came back to the painting later I saw this faint profile of a face. I could not bring myself to paint over it with my original design and instead let the painting "talk" me into bringing out the face I saw. I think it is Jesus in the Garden of Gethsemane. He looks prayerful and calm - He faces the darkness to come but is bathed in light. I like that.

My earliest memory of art was sitting next to my dad when I was very young. Both of us had our canvas and drawing pad propped up on chairs. We were painting and drawing together. I believe that art is the only thing I have ever felt I could "get right." Art is my therapy and it makes right my soul. The therapy in art comes more from the process of creating it than from the finished pieces themselves. Although I must say I do find great satisfaction in a well done finished piece! Currently, I am spending time with people who suffer from Alzheimer's disease and other forms of dementia in order to help them discover their own talents in art.
