This is a beautiful painting! The artist knows my husband and we were so excited to bring one of her pieces of art into our home! It's beyond what we expected! It is part of the background when I do virtual meetings (which I am in all day long) and I get so many compliments on how beautiful my "virtual backdrop is". When I tell people that it's my actual office, they always comment on the art!

Love this painting and so many compliments as it's in a treatment room where my husband is a Chiropractor. His patients love it!

The Lion And Lamb painting is absolutely beautiful and very anointed. It speaks such peace to me. We have been furnishing a missionary apartment and as soon as I saw this picture I knew it was the one! I know it will minister to each missionary that stays in our apartment just like it ministers to me.

She is very like my sweet Emma and I bought it in memory of her. Emma's room is now my office but the painting makes clear that it is still, first and foremost, kitty space. This piece comforts my heart every day. Emma has been gone for a year and I miss her incredibly.
Artist's Description
This old windmill at Lydinge on the island of Fyn, Denmark has slowly been falling apart over many years. Withinin a few years it will have completely collapsed to the ground. I photographed it on a wintry December afternoon as the fog rolled in, giving it a ghostly appearance. I photographed it standing on a ladder and by raising my camera up over my head on a pole and set on self-timer so that I could capture the whole building from a birdseye view. It is a color photo but might easily pass for a black and white.
About Robert Lacy
I am an Australian freelance photographer and artist who has lived in Denmark since 1997. Photography has been a passion since I was about eight years old when I was given my mother's Kodak Box Brownie. It has become my living since 2005 after winning the Panasonic Batteries Amateur Photographer of the Year Award ( for Denmark) . Painting, like photography, has been a hobby since I was a young child. I see photography and painting as two sides of the same coin. For all that, painting can still take you places the camera cannot and vice versa. Over the years I have sold art works and photographic prints in Australia, Denmark, England, Italy & USA. In 1993 I illustrated a children's book in Australia titled, 'I have been to...

Your use of negative space in the composition is fantastic. This feels otherworldly.

Thanks so much Rebecca.

The combination of the derelict look of this old dilapidated mill and the bare trees of winter really give this photo a wonderful soft impact. I love the emptiness to the right....almost looks as if the mill was built upon a precipice of a mountain. I am in love with this shot, Robert. There is something about old ramshackle wooden structures that have a distinct draw for me. Thanks for posting this beauty. Favorites!
