In the ghost town of Rhyolite,Nevada, the remaining buildings contain partial front facades but the jail is nearly complete. With temperatures in the desert reaching well into the 100's, it must have been tortuous to even spend one summer night here. Considering the wild days of the mining era, this jail cell must have been used frequenty.
About Sandra Bronstein
Sandra Bronstein finds great pleasure in sharing the beauty of the natural world and its magnificent wildlife as seen through her lenses for over 40 years. Having been intrigued by many different elements, in both the manmade and natural world, she strives to discover new and different ways to capture these elements. Her vision provides a window into the ever changing world and, simply put, Sandra has captured and shares with us a simple moment in time. Sandra was raised and continues to reside in large metropolitan cities but has always had a love of nature and wilderness. It was due, in part, to family travels and being an "outdoor" girl which kept her love strong for wildlife and the environment. That love and respect shows in each...

Thanks Randy for the feature in Wisconsin Flowers and Scenery. So very appreciated.

Sandra, just love the stark look of the iron window works and the blue door! What a fine piece of artwork for me to proudly display on our Featured Artwork section of our Homepage, within our family of friends and fine artists, in our Wisconsin Flowers and Scenery group. It is truly an honor to showcase your talents and beautiful artworks within our site, as our members get more promotion than in most groups, as I change out our Featured Artworks section 20 to 30 images at a time, and almost on a daily basis. I also change out our Top FEATURED artists weekly. I am proud to display this fine piece of beauty you have created for us to enjoy and share with others. LIKED Forever, Elvis

Great work. I love that blue door. Years ago we went through the Territorial Prison in Yuma. It would have to have been much like this. Horrible for any body. f/v
