Another amazing painting by you, Kevin Callahan!

This is really great! Thanks for showing your work. Best, Mats

one of my favs!! how have you been? still in jersey?

kevin, thanks for referring me to this piece and giving me the background on it....gives a fuller explanation to her contemplative pose . i identify with the drips in the sunny yellow background....she had to be looking at vangogh...i feel and see the tears!

A well drawn figure and the bg works so well with this. Great color and patterns and those shoes! Gotta love 'em! Well done, Kevin! My fav of yours.

love it!

Such a fresh, sincere piece. I can feel her taking the next step. Great work!

This is totally 21st Century. Love it!

Hi Kevin.....The color is superb....I love the texture and the expression of the girl looking at the painting! A beautiful painting!....Natalie

Charles mentions Klimt, and I am also reminded of Klimt by the fabric pattern in this young woman's tunic. I love that, with her yellow shoes - Crocs, I think; and the soft earthier colors of the background, and the black of her tights.

one of my favorites! where have you been?

once again inline with the others and their comments. Reminds me of a modern Gutav Klimt or even Egon Schiele in a more reserved posture than was normal for him. this is no way to suggest derivation just a similar visual dialect. Very well done - my favorite so far.

wanted to bring her out again, i really love this piece!

Kevin, thanks for your comment and congrats on your success with this piece. It is a lovely painting and you deserve the accolades.

Like all your other portraits whether the person is sleeping, waiting or daydream, it capture the interesting body language with a nice touch. I love your portrait.

I observed this young woman at the Van Gogh in Amsterdam viewing the painting of the Yellow House. I thought her yellow shoes were wonderful.
