Artist's Description
Being retired from the military, I photograph an awful lot of cemeteries and am always on the lookout for a good flag shot. I must have spent about an hour in this cemetery in Worley, Idaho and never saw this moving scene. As I was driving out of this very isolated place, for some reason I looked in my rear view mirror and there it was. It was if I was destined to see it before I drove off. I shot a dozen or more photos - from my belly, on my knees, standing on the bumper of my car,,,I just knew that somewhere there was, "that" shot. I am pleased to have found this particular one that seems to me at least to be the reason I was "called" back. I've had this photo for many years and never quite knew what to do with it. Tonight I decided that it was time to work on it and share it, so here it is - finally.

Much of my photography takes place in the Inland Northwest of the United States where I am fortunate to live. I can choose urban street adventures or head on into the solitude of the rural West. Within a 20 minute drive, I can stand in awe of pristine mountain vistas, clear mountain streams and deep,...
