Our greeting cards are 5" x 7" in size and are produced on digital offset printers using 100 lb. paper stock. Each card is coated with a UV protectant on the outside surface which produces a semi-gloss finish. The inside of each card has a matte white finish and can be customized with your own message up to 500 characters in length. Each card comes with a white envelope for mailing or gift giving.

Artist's Description

There are some buildings that just immediately hit the viewer as striking. For me the Teatro Macedonio Alcala in Oaxaca was one of those buildings. The moment I saw the domed corner tower on the skyline, I had to find the building underneath it. And I was not disappointed. Most of the sites online that I've found that discuss this grand old theater are in Spanish, but it appears to have been built in the first decade of the 20th century and the architecture was influenced by the French. I can definitely see that, can't you? Truly, this building would look at home on many Parisian streets. I've read the architecture described as either Belle Epoque Architecture or French Eclectic. Whatever you call it, the building has a beautiful presence and has been lovingly restored in recent years. The one bit of trivia I managed to uncover is that this beautiful old theater is named for a native of Oaxaca, Macedonio Alcala, the author of the waltz Dios Nunca Muere.
