Artist's Description
This was taken at Sharrott Winery, NJ. This is a closeup of the bright green bunches of grapes growing in the vineyard.
Sharrott Winery is located in the Blue Anchor section of Winslow Township in Camden County, New Jersey. It was previously an apple orchard and first planted in 2005. They have 6 acres of grapes and produce 4,600 cases of wine each year. It is named after the owning family. They produce wines from the following grapes: Cabernet Franc, Cabernet Sauvignon, Chambourcin, Chardonnay, Fredonia, Merlot, Pinot gris, Riesling, Vidal blanc, and Vignoles. They also produce fruit wines from peaches, cranberries and blueberries. The entire facility is powered with solar energy. In 2013, it became the first winery in New Jersey to have a theater where its wine is sold by the glass to its patrons.
