Description

Our greeting cards are 5" x 7" in size and are produced on digital offset printers using 100 lb. paper stock. Each card is coated with a UV protectant on the outside surface which produces a semi-gloss finish. The inside of each card has a matte white finish and can be customized with your own message up to 500 characters in length. Each card comes with a white envelope for mailing or gift giving.

Thanks for the compliments. The idea for this painting was created one evening in a motel after a day of tramping around indian ruins in Arizona. Although the scene does not exist in reality, I hope that the viewer gets a sense of the rugged beauty of the region and a feeling for the petroglyph art.

After a day spent exploring indian ruins around Flagstaff, Arizona, we had dinner and returned to the motel. As I was trying to recall some of what we had seen, I worked up this composition of petroglyph rock art on a cliff face and an opening in the canyon wall beyond. This has led to a number of paintings exploring the same theme..

Don Trout

Don began drawing in early childhood. While in gradeschool, he won a Saturday scholarship to the Kansas City Art Institute. Don earned a degree in fine art from the University of Kansas City and on graduating, was drafted into the Army. On completion of military service he moved to California and secured a job with Lockheed as a technical illustrator. Using the GI Bill, he attended night school classes at the Art Center College of Design in Los Angeles. While in the aerospace field he held positions of technical illustrator, commercial artist, and finally art director of an in-house art group. Don enjoys exploring a wide range of styles in his work. He has always painted representational subject matter but in recent years has begun to use...
