Our greeting cards are 5" x 7" in size and are produced on digital offset printers using 100 lb. paper stock. Each card is coated with a UV protectant on the outside surface which produces a semi-gloss finish. The inside of each card has a matte white finish and can be customized with your own message up to 500 characters in length. Each card comes with a white envelope for mailing or gift giving.

The Akule (from the mackerel family) is an oceanic fish that is abundant in Hawaii's shallow coastal waters, and around the globe in tropical regions where they travel in large schools. Other common names for akule include chicharro, charrito ojon, purse-eye scad, coulirou, and goggle-eyed scad. They are an oily fish, and are excellent served raw and sliced for sashimi, fried, baked, grilled, steamed, smoked, or dried. They are culturally important to native Hawaiians who have fished and eaten them for generations. We are fortunate to be able to buy these tasty little fish here on the Hawaiian island of Moloka'i, when local fishermen sell them out of the back of their pickup trucks. I've lived in Hawaii since 2002, 1200 feet above sea level, on the small rural island of Moloka'i. It is very quiet here, with only about 7,400 residents. I appreciate the quiet life after spending 35 years as a commercial illustrator, senior art director and design director for major advertising agencies and design studios in Chicago, San Francisco and Palo Alto California. I've always loved cooking. In 2002 that love led me to a degree in the Culinary Arts just before moving to Hawaii. Since then I designed and built a house, worked in local restaurants, self-published three cookbooks, and took up photography as a hobby. Now retired, I spend most of my time developing recipes and photographing them, plus researching and writing...
