I fell in love with this photo the day that Jan posted it. The cards are beautiful, frame able for a small space. I like that they have plenty of room for writing or doodling inside.

Artist's Description

Heinrich Rohrer and Gerd Binnig. Swiss physicist Heinrich Rohrer (1933-2013, left) and German physicist Gerd Binnig (born 1947, right) adjusting a sample in the chamber of their scanning tunnelling microscope (STM) at the IBM Zurich Research Laboratory. Rohrer and Binnig designed the STM while working for IBM, and were awarded the Nobel Prize in Physics in 1986 for their work. The STM uses a fine needle with an electric potential running through it to scan the surface of an object. It is able to obtain very high magnifications, even visualising individual atoms. Photographed in 1982.
