Beautiful print! The only thing I don’t love is the imprint from the wood at the back of the canvas. Maybe different packaging would help?
Artist's Description
The Chapel of the Holy Cross is a Roman Catholic chapel built into the mesas of Sedona, Arizona, which was inspired and commissioned by sculptor Marguerite Brunswig Staude. Richard Hein was chosen as project architect, and the design was executed by architect August K. Strotz, both from the firm of Anshen & Allen. The chapel is built on Coconino National Forest land; the late Senator Barry Goldwater assisted Staude in obtaining a special-use permit. The construction supervisor was Fred Courkos, who built the chapel in 18 months at a cost of US$300,000. The chapel was completed in 1956.
The American Institute of Architects gave the Chapel its Award of Honor in 1957. In the sculptor's words, Though Catholic in faith, as a work of art the Chapel has a universal appeal. Its doors will ever be open to one and all, regardless of creed, that God may come to life in the souls of all men and be a living reality.
In 2007, Arizonans voted the Chapel to be one of the Seven Man-Made Wonde...

Yep Elaine, the best time to shoot photos of the Red Rocks is just after a rain, when it has washed all the dust off, and they are still wet. It really brings out the colors. Another good time we like, is just after a snowfall, with the contrast of the snow on the rocks. In addition, always keep a UV filter on our Nikons, to cut through any haze. The Chapel is not far from Oak Creek and warm days evaporate water to create haze in the air. Many today do not use one, they say, Photoshop can create the same effect. But, in our opinion, its not really as good as a UV or UV and Polarizing Filter to bring the blue sky and clouds out.

Hi Bob, Your rock colors are so vibrant, I've seen them faded looking at times. Voted ... Elaine
Bob and Nadine Johnston replied:
Its unfortunate many visit the area on vacation, usually in the summer when it is dry. The rocks are covered with dust, as there are a lot of dirt roads, and vehicles fills the air with red dust. So I shot them after rains or snow storms when the are wet.

great place. what is the building? it looks like a modern church. Voted. I will have a look at your newspaper tonight when everything is quiet and nobody calls me michelle
Bob and Nadine Johnston replied:
Holy Name Chapel is non-denominational, built in Oak Creek Canyon National Monument, is the only church on federal property. It took an act of Congress to get permission. Was designed by a student of Frank Lloyd Wright.
