Hina-the-hawaiian-moon-goddess Hina is the female generating force in Hawaiian cosmology and one of the oldest goddesses in Hawaii. The traditions of the Polynesians both concerning Hina and Matti look to Hina as the moon goddess of their ancestors.

Twenty years of living and creating art in Hawaii has driven me to reflect on "Polynesian Pop Culture", also known as "Tiki Culture", that first came to the USA in the 1930's, and is a unique offshoot inspired in part by the "Tiki Carvings" of the South Sea Islands.
