Artist's Description
A painting commissioned for a client living in downtown Chicago while on secondment from a company in the UK. He requested a mix of some of the landmarks and skyline. The final composition was the result of nearly 20 photos mixed up in PS as well as in my head.
About Robert Reeves
Robert L. Reeves was born in 1970 to a desperate runaway who sold him to gypsies who in turn traded him for a bag of seed corn, some magic beans, and a carton of Kools to a lovely couple from Holland, Iowa who raised him as their own. Reeves received a BA in Art with honors from the University of Northern Iowa in 1994 while pursuing interests in film, theater, and music. He has been creating and exhibiting for over 26 years; public art, studio work, and commissions for private individuals as well as small and large businesses. Drawing from his surroundings and using architectural and figurative themes as a backdrop he employs his understanding color and perspective to render everyday locations and objects from his unique point of view;...
