Artist's Description

Summer Time in Camden, Maine Camden, the village called Megunticook by the Abenaki Indians, is nestled on Penobscot Bay with Mt. Battie stretching upwards to the West. Less than 26 square miles, this village is called the Jewel of the Maine Coast. Settled in the 1770s and incorporated in 1791 she became a thriving shipbuilding town. Today, the historical buildings, picturesque streets, churches, and the quaint shops and restaurants dotting the town gives you a feeling of stepping back into a quieter time. With a population of over 5000, one that swells in the summer months, Camden is a vibrant year-round community. Whether you enjoy the beauty of her harbor, lakes and mountains in the summer, the vibrant colors of fall, or the crisp winter days spent at the Snow Bowl Ski area, Camden has it all!

About Karol Livote

Karol Livote

Inspired by the world around me, I am sent out to capture moments in time, that I hope can find another's soul, the way it has captured mine! Karol Livote My story is quite simple. I was about ten years old when my sister gave me my first camera. I took right to photography. In my high school days, I was hardly seen without a camera in my hand. I participated in Photography classes and had my own darkroom at my home. Over the years, I have kept up with my photography and I continue to promote my images thru publications and sales. My greatest love is nature and all is has to offer, however, there are times I will focus on other subjects, as well. Main Website: www.karollivote.com
