Love the painting and the rich colorful blues, reds, greens, & yellows! A nice addition to our cowboy/southwest decor vibe.

Beautifully expressed rendition of the Shrine of the Bab. The frame and matting showcase the print. We have it prominently on our living room wall with other sacred pictures.

I think the frame and mat work very well with this, it is really impressive in person. Grouped with a small Grant Wood with high quality lighting it sets the mood for a Georgia farmhouse.

When I found out I am related to this wonderful woman, I knew I had to celebrate with something special. The piece is beautiful and will be on my wall very soon.

Artist's Description
This young female was caught on camera by a friend Veronica Wise, who kindly let me draw her. It was once again dusk and she was wounded in her right flank, possibly another cat. She was on the prowl.
About Lynn De Lacey
Born in Africa, Lynn De Lacey grew up in a society which was both romantically charming and unpredictably violent at the same time, a world of colour and vivid contrasts, of poverty and wealth, compassion and cruelty. Life was always exciting and filled with drama of every kind. She was born into a family of creators and artists. She started to paint as a child taught by her maternal grandmother, and her mother , both artists in their own right. Her paternal grandmother was a poet and prose writer. Lynn De Lacey
Hi Geordie, thank you for inviting me, this innocent looking cat is in fact a young female leopard. Her spots are different to the cheetah and she has no tear marks down her eyes and she is more compact than her cousin. She is also a very much more cunning and competent huntress!
Geordie Gardiner
Hello Lynn, thanks for becoming a member of the African Theme Artwork group and for submitting your work for members to see - a very nice relaxed pose - Forgive my ignorance but is it a cheetah? – or am I fooled into thinking so because the way its belly is relaxed against the tree makes it look a little slimmer, plus the markings either side of the eyes suggest a cheetah to me but I could be wrong. Thanks again for letting us see your work – All the best – Geordie Gardiner
