Using as a wallet
This black and white photograph was snapped while visiting the Turkansaari island in Finland. The original photograph is full of lush greens and a sense of calmness and relaxation. When playing with the black and white variation, however, I was looking for a bolder, more desolate, dramatic look. The picture resembles what this part of the woods might look like when winter is setting in, during a frost. The white ground creates a beautiful, stark contrast against the dark trees. It is a very stark, cold aesthetic, with its own innate beauty.
I was born on August 12th, 1985, in Guatemala City, Guatemala. Ever since I can recall, art, and music specifically, have had a special hold on my attention. I was lucky enough to have relatives in Finland, so I traveled a few times during my youth and more recently, and this has influenced me as a person and artist greatly. As a child I had an affinity towards mathematics, physics and numbers. I studied Industrial Engineering, and even though I always dreamed of becoming an artist, I never considered taking this path seriously until more recent years.
