This burro was one of many that were roaming the main street and alleys of Oatman, Arizona. They pester the tourists for food during the day and go into the gullies at night to sleep. These wild burros are descendants of the burros used by miners long ago when this was a mining town. In case you are wondering, the burros did not have bandanas and braids...this was my creativity with the painting...artistic license. The original painting of Jack Burro is painted in transparent watercolor. All my watercolors are professional grade, lightfast, paper is 300# professional. This award winning original painting was juried into the Murphey Gallery Show in Tucson and was an award winner...it sold at the show to a very lovely lady! I'm so happy that he found a good home.
