I painted this from my neighbor's photo. I love the way the two are stranded across the stream. The cowboy is waiting and wondering if he needs to help them. The other cows watch on while the largest one is moving on.

I have been oil painting for over thirty years as a hobby. Since retiring from teaching, I am now the student. One of the last classes I took was a video course by Dan Edmundson. I have completed both the still life and landscape courses. During the class I brushed up on my skills and started to refine my own style of painting that I call contemporary, realistic. I do not try to copy every detail I see but choose to enhance the ones I feel are the most important ones. I try to keep my color choices, values, brush strokes and composition the center of my art. I live in Oshkosh, Wi. with my husband Greg. I have three wonderful sons and a super daughter in-law.
