Her brandish'd sword did fairly blind men with her scaly beams; her arms so cloaked spread wider than a dragon's fins; her sparkling eyes, replete with a slimy fire did more dazzle and drive back her enemies than the tidal force of the night's icy orb, fierce bent on water in a shallow cove. Yet, beneath the hammer'd steel doth beat a heart whose rhythm steps in time with God, the drummer, a heart thus forged in Heaven's smithy, righteous and indignant. Joan, the reluctant fish-maid, had been called. To the Merfolk she proclaimed, "Joan of sh'Arc hath been an angelfish from her tender hatching, chaste, immaculate and French in very thought; whose maiden blood, thus rigorously effus'd, will cry for vengeance at the gates of Heaven."

Patrick Pierson: A TABLEAU OF DREAMS, NO LIMITS Born Pádraig Anton-Piers in 1953 on the outliers of Baile Átha Cliath, Éire (Ireland), the artist changed his name to Patrick Pierson in 1961 when he and his family immigrated to America. Initially represented and published by the Meisner Gallery in New York City, Patrick eventually settled in Palm Beach, Florida and established Fyshwerks Studio Gallery - a fine art studio, smithy, display gallery and publishing house that would become the birthplace for the creatures that were destined to inhabit the realm of Planet Zootopia.
