Artist's Description

This portrait was taken of John Dillinger when he was initially captured by the Tucson, Arizona Police Force and extradited by airplane to Crown Pointe, Indiana. Of particular interest in this photo is his slight grin, his penetrating gaze, and the supreme confidence of his demeanor (although wholly in police custody).
