Congratulations on your outstanding artwork! It has been chosen to be FEATURED in the group ď500 VIEWS.Ē

Thank you so much Mariola for the feature in your group 500 Views! If I shit my eyes I can see that goat right on the trail.

You are so right Lorenzo and this image shows it exactly as I remember that gorgeous day in Glacier! Thank you!

Love the composition of this beautiful art. I can relate to the comment posted earlier by Peggy Collins. Sometimes hiking in places like Glacier National Park requires the hiker to stand off trail & let these goats pass. Talk about exciting!!

This goat has such personality! I love the layers of mountain terrain behind him. The color palate is rich and inviting. like!

He looks like he's wondering why you're there in front of him. Another delightful image! Love your choice of colors too.

Peggy. Your comment brought such a smile to my face! He was wondering that but the Highline Trail has winds around one of the steepest mountains and it was almost impossible to climb up or down off the trail!

Just love the character created of this guy! Harriet, love, love, love your artwork! :)

Thank you Marilyn! I really tried hard to capture his character. :)

Thank you both very much. That sunny summer day still shines brightly even as we go towards the dark days of winter.

Congrats on your sale!

Artist's Description

I saw this handsome mountain goat on the Highline Trail in Glacier National Park. It's a narrow trail on the very steep side of a mountain and so was not easy to step off the trail! These showy, snowy animals are so impressive and much larger up close than you would think and so I found a way to scramble above the trail and give this goat the right of way. After all, those gorgeous mountains are his turf.

About Harriet Peck Taylor

Harriet Peck Taylor

How lucky I am to live the artistís life. Iíve had the opportunity to stand on a wind swept mountain at dawn and Iíve watched stars shoot across an infinite moonlit night. Still, itís the birds and animals whoíve shown me sheer joy and helped me feel connected to the whole of nature, birds, animals, plants and sky, and people as well. It is such a great feeling when I can connect with others through my art. A customer recently told me, ""I did want you to know how much your paintings sustained me and kept my spirit and soul warm throughout some of those very dark nights. I never realized what a role the right art in your life could play, but art really can be lifesaving, as yours certainly was to me Your art taught me all about...
