Very powerful work full of drama painted in red.

Fantastic, bold impressive beautiful work Lenore!!!! FLP

Liked your beautiful painting and commentary. L

I love this painting. Such great colors and mood to this! v/f as well as feature!

Beautiful abstract of an ugly organization. So sad there seems to be a market for their hatred still, with this group still existing to this seemingly more enlightened time. vf

Powerful and ominous... love the deep, intense colours and the socially interesting subject matter and write-up v/f

Very strong and beautiful image Lenore!!!

Very strong, powerful work of art Lenore!!! v/f

Absolutely stunning work...!

Powerful and disturbing Lenore, you have created a deeply thought provoking image, combined with a distressing write up. I had thought the KKK was a defunct organisation, however after reading your article it is obvious that this hate filled mob is still a dangerous force in the US..

Voted for this fabulous piece in the Avantgarde Art contest. Love it. ____ Ana

Again one of your emotive, evocative and profound paintings, Lenore! ... F/V ... Heiko and Helga

Very nice work and as usual title too. V/F

Excellent work, Lenore. I like that you made them look like flames, because as a group, they are inflammatory. Vote.

Beautiful work Lenore. Hard for me to understand this blind hatred.

Artist's Description

This image is a social commentary. The Ku Klux Klan (KKK) is a racist, anti-Semitic movement with a commitment to extreme violence to achieve its goals of racial segregation and white supremacy. Of all the types of right-wing hate groups that exist in the United States, the Klan remains the one with the greatest number of national and local organizations around the country. More than 40 different Klan groups exist, many having multiple chapters, or “klaverns,” including a few that boast a presence in a large number of states. There are over a hundred different Klan chapters around the country, with a combined strength of members and associates that may total around 5,000. After a period of relative quiet, Ku Klux Klan activity has spiked noticeably upwards in 2006, as Klan groups have attempted to exploit fears in America over gay marriage, perceived “assaults” on Christianity, crime and especially immigration. ~ "Extremism in America" article found in the Anti-Defamation League we...
